| George
Bush Jr. never wanted to be in politics. According to Bush and his
staff, he just "Felt the calling" one day to become governor.
I'm betting that what he really felt was his fathers old campaign
managers telling him that he could win, but that's just a guess.
Whatever he "felt", it was a good feeling, because Georgie-boy
became governor.
While in office as
governor, he showed everyone just how "Pro-family" he is.
When I say "Pro-family", I of course mean
"Pro-heterosexual-Christian-families". He declared June
10th a holiday in Texas. Much to the dismay of Jewish people, Hindu
people, an atheists like myself, June 10th is "Jesus
day".
But enough about his
past. Now for the present. Let me share with you the one thing that
worries me most; I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to make
"Jesus day" a national holiday. The separation of church
and state is already a joke. Just look at our currency and read
"In God We Trust"... not all of us, buddy... But if Bush
gets elected it will become infinitely worse.
First off, he will
"Provide federal matching funds for the establishment of state
offices of faith-based action". Meaning he will be using the
tax dollars to pay for government run Christian establishments. It
gets better, not only will there be government run establishments
for Christian propaganda, but he swears to make the presidency
itself an 'Office of Faith-Based Action'. You know all those people
who wont make a simple decision without saying "What would
Jesus do?" This would mean that we would have one of those
people controlling the free world.
Ya know what really
scares me about this guy? I'll bet he'll wins... |
